Jolie Goodnight debuts her first self-penned songs with the release of First Time

Again. From the passing of her father (iconic radio pioneer Joe Gracey) through

helping her mother (legendary singer-songwriter Kimmie Rhodes) archive over four

decades of family country music history and then grieving the sudden loss of her

husband (Jason Musick) Goodnight emerges triumphantly to offer a refreshingly

upbeat mélange of tunes that exemplifies her honestly-come-by Americana roots

and transformative life experiences.

First Time Again, produced by Gabriel Rhodes and recorded live at Sunbird Studios

in Austin, Texas with her self-described “cosmicbilly” Jolie & The Jackalopes band

features Jorge Harada: guitars, Paul Vezelis: drums, Dylan Cavalier: bass. She also

enlists the help of veteran musicians; Sam Rich: percussion (Black Books, Del-Vipers)

Jeff Plankenhorn: steel guitar (Joe Ely, Ray Wylie Hubbard) Floyd Domino: piano

(George Strait, Asleep at The Wheel, Merle Haggard) John Mills: horns (Lyle Lovett,

Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin) and Gabriel Rhodes: vocals, guitars, piano (Willie

Nelson, Billy Joe Shaver, Waylon Jennings, James Burton) and Kimmie Rhodes:

backing vocals.

Jolie & The Jackalopes is a freewheeling, skinny dipping, hot rodding, high rolling "cosmic-billy" band. Combining the hi-tone sound of rockabilly with the groover’s paradise of the Austin Sound, they the torch of the vast array of cowboy poets of the cosmic persuasion. Singer, Jolie Goodnight was raised in the world of Rockabilly, Country and Americana music under the tender love and care of coloring on Willie Nelson’s tour bus, of matching shirts and happy-birthday-answering-machine-messages from Waylon Jennings, and of nights spent backstage watching her parents bask in the light of the dust motes and audience adoration.
